10/14:
Laingsburg/Bath falls to Dansville  4-0

On Wednesday night Laingsburg ended their regular season at Dansville.  It was the Aggies' senior night and the Wolfpack hoped play spoiler.  Unfortunately for Laingsburg it didn't end up that way. In a game marred by free kicks and yellow cards Dansville crushed the Wolfpack 4-0.  Dansville opened up the scoring 20 minutes into the game when Eric Soderberg cleaned up a mad scramble off a corner kick in the box.  Laingsburg goalie, Drew Jones, saved the first attempt, but after 3 failed clearing attempts by the Laingsburg defense Soderberg easily finshed a ball that came right to his foot.  Laingsburg controlled most of the play after the goal.  They outshot the Aggies 9-5 in the first half.  The second half belonged to the Aggies, however, and Laingsburg never made any serious threats to Dansville keeper, Aaron Hoefling.  Eric Soderberg got his second goal of the night when Warren Witchell drew his 4th free kick of the night. The only differnce this time was that it was in the box.  Soderberg's PK put the Aggies up 2-0. Jay Witchell iced the game when he scored off a corner kick.  Jones came charging at the curving ball which quickly sailed over his head and into the net.  Moments later Ethan Gurecki added a goal when he placed a ball over Jones and ended his night.  Dibert came into releive Jones with 20 minutes left to play.  Dansville had a couple of more opportunities to add to their lead, but Dibert kept the rest of their shots out.  Laingsburg never really threatened in the second half and finished with only 1 seond half shot compared to Dansville's 12.  Laingsburg ended the season at 4-10-3.

10/13: Laingsburg/Bath falls to Ithaca 3-1

On Tuesday night Laingsburg travelled to Ithaca to face the Yellowjackets in a rematch of the first game of the season.  In the first game Ithaca scored with 3 seconds left to beat the Pack 2-1.  In that game Jordan Most added the late goal off a give and go with Tyler Gross on the South end of the field.  This game started where that one left off.  Most used his teammate, Gross, again in a play that was eerily similar to the one that gave the Yellowjackets a win in their first meeting.  Most passed to Gross at the 18 and when 2 defenders played the ball Gross made them pay by leading a pass back to Most who was wide open at the six.  Pete Dibert made 7 saves for the Wolfpack and Chris Anderson made 8 saves for the Yellowjackets to keep the game at 1-0 deadlock until 10 minutes left to play.  Jordan Most returned the favor by passing the ball to Tyler Gross, who put a shot right on Pete Dibert's chest.  Dibert seemed to bobble the ball and then knocked it in to his own net.  The Wolfpack cut into the lead when Andy Kubsch scored on a free kick with 7 minutes left to play. But Ithaca iced it when moments later a low shot by Zach Whipple seemed to catch Dibert by surprise and find its way to the back post.  Laingsburg fell to 4-9-3.
